Chaplaincy Council
The Chaplaincy Council is a body made up from representatives of the various societies that use the Chaplaincy, including the "hang-arounds", as well as the Chaplains. The group usually meets twice a term.
Meetings are open and any Chaplaincy user is welcome to attend. Each society is represented by a member of their committee and a member of their general membership, and each chaplain has a number of co-oped members. If you have anything that you'd like to change about the Chaplaincy, then this is where such suggestions are discussed. If anyone has anything they think should be discussed at the meeting they should talk to members of their society's committee, the chaplains, or just turn up.
Date of Next Meeting
We can't be sure when there will next be a full Council meeting, since the Council has sadly lapsed. (Boo!)
The Officers
Robin Wilson is the elected Secretary and Acting Chair of the Council. We think he also sits as the previous Free Church chaplain's co-opt. (Even though he left us several years ago...) He graduated from Southampton in 2010, and is now a PhD student in something complicated and Geography-ish.
Dan Barnes-Davies was the latest elected Chair of the Council. He previously sat as either something to do with SCM (having been president) or someone's co-opt. (We're not always sure on the specifics!) He graduated from Southampton in 2009, refused to leave for his gap year and then became a student RE teacher (for a while). Upon his departure in June 2011, the chairship lapsed to the Secretary.
